Running Across Australia To Raise

$1 Million For Childhood Cancer

Childhood cancer hits three families daily, forcing them into a financial and emotional marathon that shatters stability.

In August 2026, my 3,900 km run across Australia (2.5 marathons per day) aims to raise $1 million to combat that trauma.  Sponsor a kilometer today to fund Redkite's critical support and ensure these families are never alone on their journey

MY STORY

The idea for this run didn't start on the road; it began in a paediatric hospital ward.

While my children were sick at different times, I witnessed firsthand the trauma faced by families with far sicker kids. It was heartbreaking to see the sheer exhaustion of parents and the devastation a childhood cancer diagnosis causes. It doesn't just attack the child; it attacks the family's finances, emotional health, and stability.

My vow is simple: I will use this extreme physical effort to draw attention and raise $1million for families going through childhood cancer, ensuring they receive the critical support they need so they don't have to fight their greatest battle alone.

The Challenge: Running the Impossible

In August 2026, I will launch a transcontinental mission from Cottesloe Beach (WA) to Bondi Beach (NSW), aiming to break the World Record.

The run is the equivalent of a continuous, 38-day battle against the harsh Australian environment and the mental demons.

THE MISSION

In August 2026, I will embark on a 3,900+ kilometre run across Australia—from Cottesloe Beach to Bondi Beach—to raise $1 million for families going through childhood cancer.

Every day in Australia, three families hear the devastating words: "Your child has cancer."

The diagnosis is just the beginning. The real battle is the emotional, financial, and logistical trauma that follows, forcing parents to leave work, draining savings, and isolating siblings.

My physical challenge—running 2.5 marathons daily for over a month—is merely a reflection of the endless, exhausting journey these families are forced to run.

Every painful kilometer, every blister, and every late-night is run to ensure that no family faces this journey alone.

Redkite is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient with charity status

THE CHALLENGE

The physical challenge is extreme, but the environmental opposition is brutal:

The Climate: Running through the arid heart of Australia in mid-winter means battling sudden, extreme temperature shifts, freezing desert nights, and scorching daytime heat that bounces off the tarmac.

The Road: Days will be spent on the notorious Nullarbor Plain, where the road is an "endless straight." This mental battle is as draining as the physical one—the sheer isolation and lack of visual landmarks that test the limits of sanity. The

Pain: This distance is a guarantee of pain: stress fractures, blisters, bone-deep exhaustion, and hallucinations. Every ache and agony will serve as a continuous reminder of the relentless suffering faced by the families we support.

I am running for Redkite—the only national charity providing essential emotional, financial, and practical support to children with cancer and their families, completely free of charge.Your donation is not just sponsoring a kilometer; it is funding critical services that keep a family functioning when their world collapses.

MY ADVENTURES

My journey into the world of endurance sports really began in 2008, running my first 50km race. The planning, the training, the difficulty and utmost discomfort it brought... I was hooked, to run faster and longer and see how much I could push my physical and mental limits. From climbing the dizzying heights of Mt Aconcagua in Argentina or Denali in Alaska to running in various ultra marathon and long distance triathlon events, I have and am continually seeking the next challenge, how to handle the pain better and for longer and ultimately training my mind to be stronger.
